01 – Open Call
You are invited to rethink the boundaries of weaving.
FN 2027 brings together artists who approach weaving not only as a technique, but also as a material, a method, a way of thinking, and a contemporary language of expression.
The theme “Eşik / Thresholds” is open to original works that reflect on transformation, transition, boundaries, memory, visibility, and new possibilities.
Thresholds
The delicate threshold between two states. Not an ending, but the place where possibility begins to breathe.
02 – Participation
Who Can Apply?
This open call is open to artists and artist collectives from all countries, aged 18 and over.
Up to two artworks
Each artist or collective may submit up to two artworks or projects.
2023 and onwards
Eserler 1 Ocak 2023 veya sonrasında tamamlanmış olmalıdır.
Original Production
The submitted artwork must be the original work of the artist and must not have previously received an award.
Broad Material Scope
Textile, fiber, weaving-based practices, and hybrid contemporary approaches are eligible.

The standard application fee is EUR 35; the student and early-career artist application fee is EUR 20. A single application fee covers the submission of up to two artworks.
03- Selection
One Open Call, Two Exhibition Opportunities
The evaluation will be carried out by a five-member Selection Committee chaired by Fırat Neziroğlu.
Digital Evaluation
Artwork files shall be reviewed anonymously during the first round of evaluation.
30 Artists
The thirty (30) selected artists shall be featured in the FN 2027 Digital Exhibition.
12 Artists
From among the selected applicants, twelve (12) artists shall be awarded the Physical Exhibition Award.
The round-trip transportation of the artworks, professional packaging, transit insurance, customs clearance, and any related costs, fees, duties, taxes, or expenses shall be borne solely by the artists receiving the Physical Exhibition Award.
